Classes at the Local 1460 Provincial Training Centre:
Due to the lucrative work situation
and the move to our New Training Center Shop,
ALL courses are cancelled until the fall of 2012.
Please contact our Training Center to make an appointment for training pertaining to job specific tasks, such as Laser Alignment, Optical Level, Mechanical Fitting, etc.

The 3 Day Hoisting & Rigging course is held at NAIT Souch Campus, Z118/Z120
All other courses are held at the Millwrights Training Centre.

it is still your responsibility to cancel if you can not attend, or you forgot that you registered in a course.
There is a $100.00 no show fee for all courses.
3 day Hoisting & rigging course the no show fee is $450.00.
Living out Allowance and Travel:
Do you live 125 KM or more from the Millwrights 1460
Training Center?
- Living out allowance will be paid at a rate of $100.00 for each day attending training at the Millwrights 1460 Training Centre.
- Transportation (Travel) allowance is a flat rate of $100.00 per return trip into the Millwrights 1460 Training Centre.
- Cheques are issued upon successful completion.
- Please allow 4 -6 weeks to receive your cheque from the Millwrights 1460 Training Trust Fund.
- You are NOT paid wages to attend training.
- Applies to members and probationary apprentices.
MW 1460 Tuition Grant
- The tuition grant paid to apprentices is $400.00 (effective January 1st, 2009).
- Two months Union Dues are also paid while in school.
- You are required to present copy of marks as proof you passed the session.
- Proof of registration for your next term of school is required.
- Contact Lisa at 780.430.1460 extension # 2166 for more information and to have your name listed to received the $400.00 and two months union dues paid!
No Show Fees
- Members or probationary apprentices, if you do not notify the Millwright Training Centre that you are unable to attend a course you are registered in, you will be billed a “no show” fee of $100.00. “No Show” fees for any other courses scheduled outside the Millwright Training Centre will be the full cost of the course.
NAIT hoisting and rigging course is subject to a $450.00 "no show fee".
