Hands-on Reciprocating Compressor Training

Local 1460’s Alberta Millwright Training Centre is proud to offer its students the advantage of honing their compressor skills on a large industrial reciprocating compressor. We’re one of very few North American training centres with such equipment.

Donated to us by Petro-Canada, the contemporary, multi-million-dollar 63K100 reciprocating hydrogen compressor is the centerpiece of our two Compressor Training Courses.

The hands-on course – including modules on crankcase and cylinders, rotor removal and optical leveling – enables millwrights to learn by performing a series of realistic work order service and repair tasks.

Every student must individually perform each of these tasks, so our graduates are truly ‘shop-ready’ when they complete the course.
