Millwrights job posting Sept 2011
You can apply online, or contact the hall for more information.
In recent times, there has been a steady (and sometimes an incredibly high) demand for the skills our members provide in installing, maintaining and repairing large industrial machinery and various mechanical systems. The current economic times have slowed demand somewhat, however once the oil price recovers, we anticipate more activity.
Alberta’s commercial and industrial construction industry has a great future, especially in the oil sands, petrochemical and power generation industries. All of the plants that are built will also continue to need steady maintenance and repair services from qualified millwrights.
At the same time, some of our longer-term members are approaching retirement.
All of which adds up to our interest in you joining us!
If you’re interested in a future with Local 1460, give us some information about yourself, and prepare for a career that produces a lot more, for you and for your family.
We’re looking for energetic new members who believe in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. Our members share a strong bond, and a mutual respect for doing top quality work, on time, and safely!
We welcome journeymen and apprentice millwright who have been represented by other labour organizations.
We’d love to welcome you as a member!
We can dispatch you to good work, real soon!
